Carla's Ultra Thick Embossing Powder Challenge

Hello there! Carla Mayfield here from Holyoke, Colorado with another fun challenge for you.

Every time you see my name, you know it's going to be glitter or embossing, right? Well, it's embossing again this time!

I love the look of ultra thick embossing powder, but we only sell regular embossing powder at A Muse Studio, so I tried it instead. I have to say it worked beautifully! I covered my die cut with Versamark, then a|s white EP, heated it, then Versamark, then a|s EP, and heated again. Before I heated it the last time, I inked up the leaf frond from Charming Gardener in our new ink, Lido. Once the powder was melted, down went the stamp, resulting in this super cool 3D image.

I added a sentiment from Hand Scripted, and embossed the frond in white all over a piece of Lido cardstock. The other color, also part of our new Venetian Color Group, is Burano. It's a vibrant, sundrenched, shimmering color. Sometimes I think it's red, other times orange or peachy. I think it depends on the light and the colors it's paired with.
